where can I find one thats free

I found that quite a few university student services have free downloadable relaxation mp3s. The University of Wisconsin have a short sleeping technique in mp3 format.

If you are interested in relaxation mp3s, which can help you relax, then do a search for – students relaxation mp3.

Utexas also have good relaxation mp3s.

Theres plenty about. So just try one till you find one that suits you.

Can tiredness or lack of sleep inhibit hypnosis?

If hypnosis is supposed to be a state of high focus, can tiredness inhibit it?

To answer your question, let me explain a little bit about the background of hypnosis.

Well, you are right that one state of hypnosis is high focus, but you also need to understand that during a hypnosis session (for example, a conversational hypnosis during hypnotherapy session), the person as the object of hypnosis, will be guided by special techniques toward a state of high awareness but relax condition, it’s not sleep condition, but the subconscious of the subject is already in charge.

A very common misunderstanding of hypnosis is that most people think that a person being hypnotized will be on very relax state of mind, and with their eyes closed. In Reality though, a person who fully awake and with full of awareness can be hypnotized, most can be done without their knowledge (some hypnotherapist use this conversational hypnosis technique to help the patient, or a salesman to sell his/her products etc.).

So, hypnosis can be done when you are fully awake or when you are fully relax, for so many purposes.

Therefore, tiredness of physical conditions due to various means including lack of sleep, most likely cannot inhibit hypnosis.

ok im making my own hypnosis tape and i want to increase my iq(please don’t say it’s not going to work because i’ll find out about that tomorow myself) so what exactly do i say in the tape over and over, like do i say "my iq is increased" or "my iq will be increased"? Do any of you have any suggestions on what i should say?

The best way to say this is to give the subconscious a figure, for example:

My IQ is 130

The subconscious takes you literally. If you talk in the future "will be increased", it will stay for ever in the future and nothing will happen.

If you say "My IQ is increased" – if it is increased by 0,00001 %, that’s an increase and your subconscious will leave it at that.

Give it a realistic figure. Not 170, not 200, but something reasonable.

My IQ is 130 or my IQ is 140 and your subconscious will do its best to make it happen.

No. Sleep deprivation causes mild paranoia. Paranoia causes distrust therefore making it harder to put the person into a relaxed state.

You should try something called binaural beats or brain wave entrainment (Try Googling these terms). It can ramp your brain waves down into a nice soothing sleep. You can buy CD’s that use this technology on Amazon or most big online retailers. The ones that put you to sleep are called delta sleep systems. Delta being the class of brain waves one has while asleep. Be sure to read all the warnings that come along with this technology. For example, you’re not supposed to use it if you have a seizure problem or a pace maker.

i have this mp3 that i might play. my question is how im supposed ot go about doing it. just… let myself fall asleep while it’s playing?

Listen to it & follow its commands to relax etc & then if you drift, just allow yourself to do so.

If you wish to induce sleep, make sure that your player turns itself off, preferably quietly.

Is sleep talking the same or similar to being under hypnosis?

Is this the same thing? Like being able to talk out loud while in a half-asleep state?

Sleep talking is not the same or similar to that of being under hypnosis as sleep talking occurs when a person talk to himself while in the state of partial or complete unconsciousness or deep slumber and not induced by any other person while being under hypnosis is a trancelike condition that maybe physically induced by another person so much so that you are like under the spell of that person..

I don’t know about downloading sleep mp3’s, but here is a long list of natural sleep aids I once wrote. It is so long it may put you to sleep. There is info below on CDs for sleep. Check out this link:

A warm bath is a great way to relax to help you to sleep. If you can’t take a bath, you can give yourself a foot massage with slightly warm massage oil, sesame oil, or castor oil from a health food store.

What was very helpful to me, especially when my mind was racing, was to lie in bed and listen to relaxation CDs, especially those that contain someone speaking with relaxing music in the background. Many of these CDs are available on eBay for very low prices. Do an eBay search for "sleep hypnosis."

A helpful technique is to relax your body one part at a time. So you could relax your feet, your lower legs, upper legs, moving up from your lower belly up to your chest, etc., etc.

Of course, guided relaxation methods can help, imagining yourself in the country, the beach, or whatever is most soothing to you.

If you have annoying thoughts or personal issues that run thru your mind when you are trying to sleep, you might have to deal with those issues first. You might want to talk to a counselor or therapist about that. I suggest avoiding prescription sleeping pills unless nothing else helps.

There are herbs that are helpful for sleep, eg, valerian root, kava kava, chamomile, hops, passion flower, skullcap. If you get the real herbs, you can make teas out of them. Otherwise get the herbs in capsule form. Probably, valerian root and kava kava are the best.

You can also try trytophan, 5-HTP and melatonin (1-2 mg). I would not take melatonin for over a month unless your doctor says it is ok. It is a hormone produced by the pineal gland. If you take too much, your pineal gland might get "lazy" and produce less melatonin naturally.
